I'm Megan Gurski, a former full-time teacher with a passion for integrating the beauty and lessons of nature into every subject I taught. My teaching philosophy centers around a nature-based approach, which I've been fortunate enough to apply across all the subjects I was assigned. This unique approach allowed me to lead and participate in numerous memorable experiences with my students.

 

I have always had a profound love for the outdoors, and I believe in seizing every opportunity to use nature as a classroom. This passion drives my commitment to offering experiential, hands-on, and inquiry-based learning opportunities that empower learners to take control of their learning. By placing the learning process directly in their hands, I aim to inspire participants to feel in control of their learning journey, encouraging them to continue exploring, questioning, and growing. My goal is to not only teach but to ignite a lifelong passion for learning and discovery in the natural world, fostering a sense of independence and confidence in every learner I encounter.

That's why I founded NW25 Outdoor Learning Co., with the mission to introduce a fresh perspective to our local community and beyond. My goal is to offer a novel approach to education and learning, set in the great outdoors, where participants can step away from the usual barriers that hinder learning.
